Our
Concept
The slogan for our school conception reads: "Learn to Learn - Learn to Live". This encapsulates together that a school should be a place to learn and to live. A school as a place where life takes place reflects our desire to equip pupils with the necessary abilities to tackle their lifelong journey of continious learning.
Viewing school as a place to live means, among other things, offering a place where pupils can find collective hope and faith. A place of protection, but still open minded, where they can discover that life as a Christian is worth living and gives courage for the future.
The centre of our education concept is an integrated leaning in mind, soul and body based on the foundation of the Christian faith.
Much emphasise is laid in the personal character development of each pupil. Everyone is unique and wanted by God; each with his own gifts, abilities, and life tasks which differentiate them from every other person.
We want to encourage the pupils to live a responsible and meaningful life in today's society. The pupils should be equipped with the ability to find their own personal way in today's pluralistic environment.
We want to impart life competence, confidence and mutual respect.
Everyday life at school is characterised by the excitement of living a creative life. ("Creativity is more important than Knowledge" - A. Einstein) and experiencing captivating lessons.
Through creative teaching methods, the inclusion of modern technology and the excitement of a succesful learning environment a curiosity to discover the world is reached.
We don't learn for school, we learn for life.
Parallel to developing a sound education the joy of learning is communicated by means of relevant teaching materials. The implication of open teaching methods, (Projects, interdisciplinary subjects, supervised study in and encouragement towards personal achievement and learning) results in a persisting curiosity to discover new
challenges.
